Where and We’re – What’s the difference?

Use “where” to obtain information on a location. E.g. Where are you?

“We’re” is the abbreviation of “we are” e.g. We’re eating cake.

To check you are using the correct word, try replacing it with the words “we are”. Then it’s easy to see which word should be used.

Example 1 – We’re/Where going home
Right:  We are going home.
Wrong:  Where are going home.

Example 2 – We’re/Where is your car parked?
Right:  Where is your car parked?
Wrong:  We are is your car parked?
